AàZ Transports SA (hereafter "we") is committed to protecting the privacy of visitors to its taxicab.ch website. This policy describes what data we collect, why, and how you can exercise your rights. It complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP).

2. Data collected and purposes

a) Booking form

When making an online booking, we collect: first name, last name, email address, phone number, pick-up address and destination, desired date and time, number of passengers and billing information where applicable.

Purpose: processing and confirming your booking, coordinating with the driver, sending booking confirmation by SMS/email, invoicing.

Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6§1b GDPR).

b) Contact form

Name, email, message. Used solely to respond to your enquiry.

Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6§1f GDPR).

c) Browsing data

When you visit the site, our server automatically records: IP address (anonymised after 24h), browser, pages visited, visit duration. These data are used for anonymous statistical purposes to improve the website.

Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6§1f GDPR). No advertising or tracking cookies are used.

d) Price estimate

To calculate the distance and the estimated price, your browser sends directly, while you type — once each address has a few characters, then at every change to the route, ride type, date or time, and when the form is shown again after an error or a price recalculation —, depending on the case, the text typed, even if incomplete, to the Nominatim geocoding service (nominatim.openstreetmap.org — OpenStreetMap Foundation, United Kingdom), and the pick-up and destination coordinates to the OSRM route planner (router.project-osrm.org — OSRM project, demo server provided by FOSSGIS e.V., Germany). Nominatim receives no coordinates and OSRM no text. As with any web request, these services also receive your device's IP address. These transfers take place whether you accept or decline Google Maps. Our server also receives these addresses to calculate the price, without storing them at this stage.

Legal basis: necessary for the service you request (the price estimate). No cookie is set or sent in the requests to Nominatim and OSRM.

3. Retention period

Booking data are retained for 3 years for accounting and legal purposes, in accordance with Swiss law (CO Art. 958f). Contact data are deleted after the enquiry has been handled, within a maximum of 12 months.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. They may be shared with:

  • Our drivers (only the information needed for the ride)
  • Our SMS provider (ClickSend) for sending booking confirmations — based in Australia, certified GDPR-compliant
  • The Nominatim (geocoding) and OSRM (routing) services, during the price estimate — see section 2 d)
  • Google, for address suggestions, only if you accept them — see section 8
  • Competent authorities where required by law

5. Your rights

Under the GDPR and the revFADP, you have the following rights:

  • Access — obtain a copy of your data
  • Rectification — correct inaccurate data
  • Erasure — request deletion of your data
  • Objection — object to processing
  • Portability — receive your data in a structured format
  • Complaint — lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC)

6. Security

All data are transmitted over an encrypted connection (HTTPS/TLS). Access to booking data is protected by authentication and restricted to authorised AàZ Transports SA staff.

7. Cookies

This site uses only technically necessary cookies required for its operation (booking session, CSRF protection). No advertising or third-party tracking cookies are set.

8. Google Maps

Our address forms (booking, modification, partner simulator, customer account address book) offer address suggestions from Google Places, provided by Google LLC (United States). Google is only loaded after your consent (“Accept” in the cookie banner): it then receives the text typed in the address fields, while you type, and your device's IP address. Without consent, no third-party suggestions are offered. See Google's privacy policy.
